About Our Firm
Maloof & Browne LLC is a New York based firm which since 1993 has handled international and interstate itigation throughout the United States at the most sophisticated levels, with an emphasis on large, complex commercial transportation and insurance litigation. The name partners (one of whom is deceased) played roles in such headline making cases as “The Pentagon Papers” case, the U.S. Steel/Marathon Oil tender offer litigation, the MV Elma Tres ship sinking/mass catastrophe and the Sompo train derailment litigations, up to the U.S. Supreme Court. The firm’s specialization in careful investigations has its origins in David T. Maloof’s work in the early 1980’s as an investigative television reporter, seen on WNET-13, where he broke the “Taggart Affair” political-patronage scandal in New Jersey. The firm has received Martindale-Hubbel’s highest rating for skill and integrity, among many other awards.
The firm routinely handles such actual and prospective litigation matters throughout the United States (including numerous cases in the Gulf Coast, Midwest and California) and supervises them worldwide (including Canada, Mexico, Japan, South America, Africa and Europe). The clients they have successfully represented include Great American Insurance Company, Lloyds Underwriters, NipponKoa Insurance Company, Ltd., Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance, Sompo Japan Insurance Company, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Company, Travelers Insurance Company and XL Specialty Insurance Company, among others.
